We Must Prepare For Winter

I am searching for images of Jane Birkin for a story, and I came upon these. They show Jane and her lover, Serge Gainsbourgh, with their baby daughter, Charlotte, and Jane’s daughter from another marriage, Kate Barry.

You know, just flitting around, splashing in the pool, Serge in the background wearing jeans.

Take him out of the equation, and you have the most gorgeous family ever in history.

Man, did she love him though.

“The problem with life is that you don’t have this hammock in your yard,” says Serge.

“Or a wife in these cut-offs.”

“Or this bucolic retreat.”

“And now, we must prepare for winter.”
