My friend asked me this weekend to name the top five things I hate the most. It took me a while to think of mine, and I won’t share it here, for fear of making further enemies. But I will say that the most innocuous of them is “sleeping in beds that aren’t my own.”
I would sleep in a bed in the middle of a Richard Serra sculpture, however. A white down bed, with crisp sheets, in the late afternoon.
